Hey there! I’m a high school teacher turned freelance writer, and my partner in crime for the last eight years has been Kenobi—my four-legged adventure buddy. Together, we’re experts at two things: hitting the trails and hunting down great food. When we’re out wandering through woods and forests, I’m busy snapping photos of birds, raptors, and all kinds of wildlife, while Kenobi’s mission is to chase down every rodent he can find—and occasionally, he has a weird obsession with male mallards. Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out what’s so fascinating about those ducks! We’ve been figuring out the art of road-tripping, hiking, and camping the hard way—through plenty of trial, error, and laughs—ever since the summer of 2015. On my bucket list? Tackling Olson’s “Ultimate Road Trip” across all 48 continental U.S. states. But until then, you’ll find us exploring the nearby trails, one adventure at a time.
