Alright, adventure crew — it feels like Kenobi and I have been in hibernation mode for way too long. Not totally off the grid, but definitely not chasing sunsets down winding highways or getting our boots muddy in the middle of nowhere like we should be. The wanderlust is real, and let me tell you — we are so ready to break free.
And the best part? That’s happening very soon. In just a couple weeks, we’ll be heading north to one of our all-time favorite places. What better way to shake off the dust and get back in the saddle than with a trip to one of the most magical spots on earth — Minnesota’s North Shore.
I haven’t nailed down all the details yet (classic me), but we’ll be spending five nights up there. We’ve got plans to revisit some of our go-to hikes — the ones that still live rent-free in my memory — and also carve out time to discover new trails that have been calling our names.
And don’t worry, it won’t be all dirt trails and pine needles. Of course, we’ll be checking in on our favorite civilized haunts — because no North Shore trip is complete without a stop at World’s Best Donuts (yes, they’ve earned that name) and a visit to The Fisherman’s Daughter for some seriously satisfying eats. Priorities, right?
I can already smell the campfire and taste the donuts. Stay tuned — it’s going to be the kind of trip that refuels the soul and the stomach.
