Hi! I'm a high school teacher turned freelance writer. Kenobi, my dog, and I have been together for about eight years now and do two things well together--hike and eat. While exploring wooded areas and forests, I try to capture photos of birds, raptors, and other wildlife; Kenobi tries to capture rodents of any and all kinds as well as male mallards. Someday I hope to understand what makes mallards so special. We've been learning about road-tripping, hiking, and camping through trial and error since the summer of 2015. On my bucket list is the "Ultimate Road Trip" around the 48 continental US States, but in the meantime, we'll explore the nearby trails.
